On Wednesday January 27th, PluggedInParents.com will welcome a new author/blogger to their team… Me!

*please hold your applause*

I was approached by PluggedInParents.com’s Senior Editor a few weeks ago and I nearly fell over backwards as I enthusiastically replied with a YES!

I was so excited about the opportunity that I opened Microsoft Word and began my first article. I love to share my experiences with homeschooling… so this will a great sounding board. I will be able to address things (myths, truths, and what works for us) that people are curious about and be able to shed some light on other things. Or maybe, just maybe, make people think before they speak negatively about homeschooling.

I admit, homeschooling is not for everyone… I know people in my life who will never, could never, have never even considered it. Which is perfectly okay. But for us, it works and we love it. I am happy to be able to share the information I have with people who question.

Some of the topics I will touch upon will be: Why we homeschool, socialization, curriculum, special needs, testing, time management and much… much more.

When the articles go up, I will share the link with you all. But until then, check out PluggedInParents.com, they have a lot of great articles about parenting, health, business, technology, food stuff and more…

It’s really an awesome site that I am now proud to say I am a part of… well I will be on Wednesday anyway.

This is so exciting!! Congratulations! I'm a homeschool alumna--K-12, my mother taught me. She was amazing. Now I'm in grad school and looking forward to homeschooling my own children when it comes time for my own mommyhood. :)

Congratulations! And good for you enlightening people about homeschooling. I'm not a parent, but I was homeschooled (3rd grade on), and have dealt with my share of false information over the years on the subject. Kudos - I'm sure you'll do great. :-)

Oooh! Congrats! I would really love to contribute to this too. We are putting together a firewall system for parents so that they can better control where their children are online. I would also be a very conservative movie critic. You are going to be so great at this!
