1500 follower contest…

We are in the big leagues now… in a little under a month, @EisleyJacobs will have 1500 followers on twitter. Cripes, the pressure!

The good news is… I love books! And love… well tons of other stuff. Why is that good news to you?

*sneaky hand wring*

Cuzz I’m giving some away. Ohhhh yes. Books, for sure. And coffee for double sure… and a Fall Wallet made by a good writer friend of mine!

Unlike my other contests, winner does not take all! INSTEAD, I will have a winner for each prize and all you have to do is enter! And how do you enter? So glad you asked… πŸ˜‰

First off, you HAVE to follow me on twitter in order to be entered… because after all, this is a 1500 follower contest. Follow me at @EisleyJacobs. If you are already a follower… you get TWO entries into this first category. But in order for me to know you are IN the contest, you have to comment on this post… this one. Not tomorrow’s. Not next weeks. THIS ONE. This is where I will gather all my contest entries. So comment and tell me you follow me (include your twitter name) and let me know if you are a new or old follower. And don’t try to be sneaky, I can see the difference when I pull you up on twitter. πŸ˜‰

Second way to receive entries. Blog about this contest. When you do, leave a comment on THIS POST (again, not another… just this one) and leave the URL. You will receive 5 entries for that.

Third way, tweet about the contest. Be sure to include my name @EisleyJacobs in the tweet so I can count it up. There is no limit to how many tweets about the contest you may do. But PLEASE don’t spam your followers 75 times to get 75 entries. Because let’s face it. That is NOT cool. Plus you have a maximum of 5 tweet entries per day… which means. You can tweet 5 times about the contest instead of 75… Tweet something like… Check out @EisleyJacobs 1500 twitter follower giveaway. Follow, Comment and Tweet to win! http://EisleyJacobs.com/ And they have to be at least an hour apart… or else you are just spamming and I will totally take off for that… NO SOUP FOR YOU! ;0)

The Last way, friend me on Facebook! http://Facebook.com/EisleyJacobs This action will earn you an entry… if you are already a FB friend you get two… You can earn five more by updating your status ONCE with something about the contest! Β Be sure to use the @Eisley Jacobs in your status to make sure I get the entries!

AS SOON as I reach 1500 followers… The contest will be closed at midnight THAT day. So that means if followers number 1501-1550 are in before midnight. You count! Wooot!

IMPORTANT NOTE: When you comment on this post, please put what prizes you want to be in the hat for (Like Prize #1, #4 and #10). Since I will pick 10 winners… you have the chance to win more then once if you have more then one entry, but I need to know what you want. Or else I will choose for you. Β πŸ˜‰

Vanna, tell us what they will win.

What began with eight young women has exploded into something of a phenomenon. Fifteen teams now compete wtih the Afghanistan Football Federation, with hundreds of girls participating. By bringing soccer to young Afghan women, Awista re-introduced the very traits the decades of war had cruelly stripped away from them – confidence and self-worth. Prize #7: Signed hardcover of THE HOUSE OF DARK SHADOWS by Robert Liparulo

But he, David, and Toria are captivated by the many rooms in the old Victorian fixer-upper they moved into–as well as the heavy woods surrounding the house.

They soon discover there’s something odd about the house. Sounds come from the wrong directions. Prints of giant, bare feet appear in the dust. And when David tries to hide in the linen closet, he winds up in locker 119 at his new school.

Then theΒ really weird stuff kicks in: they find a hidden hallway with portals leading off to far-off places–in long-ago times. Xander is starting to wonder if this kind of travel is a teen’s dream come true . . . or his worst nightmare.

Prize #8: Signed soft cover of UNCONVENTIONAL by J. J. Herbert

YOUNG JAMES FROST just knows, deep in his bones, that he’s a writer. He writes far into early mornings, after his wearying hours of scrubbing toilets and sweeping floors. He loves writing that much. But it’s not only the joy of words that keeps him grinding; it’s his desire to retire the janitor’s mop. He sees being published as the key to living an improved life. James has another deep-seated conviction: that he’s not good enough. He secretly longs to be accepted. However, the conventional others in his life seem all too willing to remind him that he’s wasting his time. Then he meets and falls in love with Leigh, the one bright spot in his endless misery of self-doubt. A quiet but resolutely religious girl, she has to fight off disapproval of her own from overly critical parents, whose insults are countered by James’s often-voiced admiration of her. Likewise, Leigh’s faith in his talents begins to build his confidence, eventually allowing her to introduce him to a different way to help himself: relying on God. Ultimately, James’s newfound faith is sorely tested to the point of doubt when his dream to be published seems to melt into a mirage, smothered by countless rejection slips from agents and publishers. His faith is also battered by having to fight highly emotional battles and suffer fear and loss. Just when James appears hopelessly sapped by devastating events, one last door opens, and he’s rocked by an epiphany. UNCONVENTIONAL is designed to inspire readers to reach for their dreams. Buy this book. Read it. Share it with everyone you know. You – and they – will be glad you did!

Totally kidding. You will get it if you win! πŸ™‚ Maybe.

Prize #10:Β Coffeeeeee! For you coffee drinkers… or those of you who need to start a healthy addition. Coffee is good for you! It reduces some cancer risks! • Okay, I’ve tweeted and followed (things I almost never do) but I must give credit where credit is due- I did it because I read the blog by the fabulous LK Gardner-Griffie and 1) She said to follow you- and I trust her 2) You’re giving her books away (fabulous choice) and 3) if @lkgg took the little time she has to blog about this, promote you and tweet it- then you must be worth the follow :)))

I’m same as my name @GailZahtz

Do I really have to pick a book? I’m planning on getting all of Misfit McCabes for all of my YA’s this season- so save those for someone who isn’t as enlightened πŸ˜‰ I’d say prize 4 for my 2 littlest ones, and 9 for me- because I’ll buy books even if I can’t afford it: but that purse is way cute and I would always put it off.

Good luck and greetings. Off to finish lunches for last two getting off to school now.

  • Count me in too. TechWife will love a new book in her stocking (that I’ll steal away for a quick read).
