July is over, bring on August!

I was doing some book keeping this morning, seeing as how July has ended and August has begun. All of the sites, Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Create Space… all of them have an end report day of the final day of the month. So instead of having my totals lost in oblivion, I used my handy dandy skillz (and they are mad skillz with a Z!) and put them into a table with some formulas. AND I’m looking forward to inputting numbers next week, month, year… and watch the numbers change. Such a nerd.

In publishing, numbers count… but you know what means MORE to me then numbers? The fact that my book is ordered for my public library! And better yet, I didn’t have anything to do with it. Nothing. Nada.

DD11 was searching for “that book” that seems to never be in the library and decided to search Born to be a Dragon and *gasp* it was there!

I found out later (after I danced, posted a freak out status update on facebook, etc) that two of my friends have requested the books throughout Denver… at Five different libraries (counties)!

Then if that wasn’t cool enough, Dragons continues to get five star reviews on Amazon.  Some of which make me VERY emotional. And I am happy to report that there are reviews on the book from people I do not know! So this isn’t just my friends saying, “You are so awesome, Eisley.” Tho, I’d be lying if I didn’t say I appreciated those too.

And the coolness doesn’t stop there. Pauline Campos from http://aspiringmama.com/ read the book and interviewed me. She sent me part 1 of her article (pre-interview just letting her readers know about the book) and well… without any spoilage, it was sooo flattering. So flattering in fact it made me tear up.  When she posts the review and interview (along with a charity auction for Born to be a Dragon) I will let you all know! You won’t want to miss it!

The roller coaster HAS NOT come to a complete stop… in fact, the conductor just told me we haven’t even seen a quarter of the awesome track!

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

I’ve got my seat belt on… let’s go!
