Young Adult Fantasy Series
Rings of Time – Book 1: 75,000 words – Partial Requested! In query stage.
Eighteen-year-old Emma Dalen has never looked for adventure outside the pages of the books she immerses herself in; after all, she lives in the real world, not some fantasy. However, after a vivid dream of another world piques her curiosity, she finds herself entangled in a web of mystery surrounding a blank journal of all things, one which has been returned yet again to her parents’ bookshop. When Malachi Ventre, a regular at the shop, threatens Emma to keep out of other people’s business, she must determine why the events of her day point to the journal and why her heart screams warnings for her to keep it safe.
The blank journal Emma safeguards reveals itself as an embodiment for a mystic named Silvan Alannah, sent to Earth to preserve his life until he was needed most. Emma discovers that unfortunately that time has arrived and her destiny is to be the catalyst in bringing the journal to its destination. Snatched away from death in the alley of her Midwestern town, Emma catapults through THE RINGS OF TIME and into Mandor with the help of Prince Aaron Manavendra. Once she steps foot in this fantastical other world, she questions all she believes to be real and must choose to accept her fate, written in an ancient prophecy.
However, she makes a fatal mistake and must correct it before Malachi can retrieve the journal on Earth in the past. She has twelve hours to right the wrongs, but Aaron has gone missing, and now it’s up to her and a new friend – whom she believes has royal connections to Mandor – to stop Malachi, regardless of the cost.
Secrets of Mandor – Book 2: 78,000 words (Synopsis and blurb coming soon) Currently on editors desk.
