Am playing with cover ideas today…. what do you think?
I am trying to go for YA and mysterious… did I hit both points?
I tried to find a girl looking down with brown hair, but there is only so much you can do when you are messing around with Photoshop. 
The journal isn’t QUITE what I have envisioned, still hoping to find someone who can come with THIS concept but professional and schnazzy.

I should just bite the bullet and pick the one (out of like thirty now) that I like the best and send it off. Because the book IS NOT going to get picked up just sitting here on my computer.

From talking with another local author, the publisher should handle the cover for you (and let you veto it). This local author put her hands in it more than they liked and it seemed to exasperate her publisher a bit.
I know local graphic artists if you want to pursue a professional.
