New project…

It’s about time to start a new project… or complete an old one? I am still debating on which to do. I considered posting the first chapter of each and letting you decide… but they are unedited. Blah. ;)

I love the prospect of new projects. New options. New worlds. New characters. New adventures. It’s kinda why I like moving my furniture around so much in my own house. I like a new view of the world… I get bored easily.

BUT I realize if I don’t focus my attention on the novels (yes plural) that are complete and need revising and editing that they will never get out. Books 1 and 2 of The Mandorian Prophecies are complete… They are Fantasy/SciFi but they need a ton of work, which I realized only after I sent it out on a partial. Ha! Gotta love hindsight. I actually received a few requests for that one, which means the concept is one agents want… but the writing wasn’t there. I am okay to say that because it’s true! They were my first two books and needed a lot of work. I didn’t really understand how much work it took to get a novel ready until… well, I am still working on that aspect. Five novels later, suffice to say, I think I am closer to that finished product with two of all seven written.

So really, this post helped me answer my own question. I think it’s time to reopen the Mandorian Prophecies and work on them. The market is so saturated with the other stuff that it seems like a lost cause. So yah, I will work on RINGS OF TIME and SECRETS OF MANDOR, Book 1 and Book 2. At least Book 1 ;)

Aren’t you glad you stopped by today? Haha…

I’m always glad I stop by here. It’s interesting to see how other people work and choose which projects they are going to work on. I should do that as well, but I will wait till after nanowrimo cause I want to do a new book for nano this year, since that’s encouraged. But I do really need to work on my mutant novels since they would be the first ones ready to submit if I’m going to be ready before 2013.

Good luck to you and your novels.
