Unseen Inspiration…
Posted in Novels on 17. Jan, 2010
As some of you know, I am looking for some inspirational true stories to base my Chronicles for Unseen off of. I have gotten three from my new twitter friends… one gal I KNOW has a story, but I am giving her time to flesh the events out before I ride her for it.
I got the idea of Unseen from a verse in the bible in Hebrews, yup it’s a biblical post, bare with me.
Hebrews 13:2
Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it.
This of course got my brain moving and thinking about every way in my life that I have felt those unseen hands, guiding me out of harms way, pushing me towards a door I needed to go through, or even a person who is only there for a “time” to show me something I was completely missing.
I wrote the first Chronicle as a short story contest and I won! Imagine that, maybe I did know how to write after all.
At the point the contest ended, I had considered continuing the Chronicles, but wasn’t sold until I received various emails following the publication of this story of how this Chronicle touched them.
Could my words really touch people?
I wrote the second, then the third, then the fourth… and now as I work on the fifth, my ears are still open for more inspiration. I had ideas for three others (not completely fleshed out, but very doable) when I left for church this morning, and when I returned from church I had two more! Gotta love that.
The pastor of the church we attended this morning (We are church shopping, I hate this process… yes hate) threw out two bones to me… Ha ha! He didn’t know that I was seeking inspiration for these unseen stories, how could he, we are new!
Now instead of three other stories, I have five. Phew! I need to get to work.
I am hoping to finish Chronicle Five – Dante today… after I complete the walkthru of chapters for my synopsis (Mandorian Prophecies)… Yes, lofty goals, specially considering the day I had yesterday.
On my way…
