It’s getting easier to press the send button on query letters. Why? Well, because I realize that just because one agent says no, doesn’t mean the next won’t say yes! The worst that can happen when you query is that you get a note saying “It’s not right for me or my agency at this time.” Which sometimes can be a blow, considering it’s your tip top agent! But at the same time, I think it’s good for your character to get a no. It helps move your forward and to the final goal of publication. So yes, I did push send on five queries this...

That is me… and my new mantra. Read Edit Write Repeat It should the mantra of everyone who is attempting to ready a submission to an agent or publishing house. I have four completed manuscripts that need to be polished and run over with a fine tooth comb. I refuse to write another novel until these are ready for complete submission. I received a partial request… and I am immediately thankful I already started my first person rewrites… Sweeet! The funniest/craziest part of this request… I didn’t query for it. No, true story! Honest! I did query HER… sorta, if you could call that a query I sent. Well, my weekend away was awesome. I could have used a little more sleep (blame my stupid internal time clock, no one else) but it was an entirely fabulous weekend! We had great food, great company and some great writing times!
