Writers Weekend update…
I’m blogging from Kansas City today. I have some fabulous breakfast casserole in my tummy and a cup of Hazelnut Vanilla steaming to my left. It’s going to be a good day. The writer’s weekend concluded yesterday with sadness. If you are of the writerly-folk… You should know that NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) has officially begun. Yes, beware of coffee drinking zombies across the nation staying up till all hours of the morning getting their word counts in. At Starbucks today I saw at least four writerly-folks tackling their first 2,000 or so words during their lunch hour. Well, my weekend away was awesome. I could have used a little more sleep (blame my stupid internal time clock, no one else) but it was an entirely fabulous weekend! We had great food, great company and some great writing times! Having sent a partial to an agent before I left, I knew I needed to really examine the RINGS OF TIME MS and objectively see what she saw. I love the story. REALLY… but when I looked at it, I screamed (nay aloud). Had I really just sent this snoozer to an agent?!?!?! *headdesk* Now… it’s not a snoozer of a story. Really, it’s quite fun and fast...
